From customer RFQ to sent quote

Estimators & owners

Where RFQs come from

Customers submit RFQs (with drawings) through their own portal, or your team enters them from Pipeline → Customers. Every new RFQ lands in the Quote Received column of the quote kanban and gets a quote number automatically.

Pricing it

  1. Open the RFQ from Pipeline → Customers and hit Pricing.
  2. Price each line item: sheet parts (area, operations), structural members (shape, cut list), and assembly labor. Totals recompute as you type.
  3. Need vendor pricing? Use "Request vendor quotes" right on the line item — replies parse automatically and apply with one click.

Approve and send

  1. When the estimate is ready, submit it for approval (owners and senior estimators approve).
  2. Send to customer — they get a branded PDF by email and see it in their portal.
  3. When their PO arrives (uploaded or recorded verbally), accepting it creates the job and production cards automatically.
